French painter/collage artist Anastasia Elias creates beautiful artwork inside cardboard toilet paper tubes.

By using paper similar to the toilet paper tube, it gives the illusion that the scene taking place inside the walls are actually part of the roll itself. The detail and depth of each piece is very nice. She claims it only takes her an hour to complete one, which is also impressive. Amazing work!

thee animated illustrations

These animated illustrations were made by Illustrator Malika Favre and creative agency Airside for Varoom magazine. The series explains "How to" create films but it could apply to anyone in a creative field - especially when storytelling is involved.

I think they are pretty inspiring. Love it when people are creative.

thee 4th graders

|

“Fourth graders from an inner city school tell their stories….who they live with, what they wish for, what they worry about, and their dreams for the future. Each child is standing in front of the school door.”

This moved me. I know it will move you too. Bravo Judy Gelles.
Think back to when you were in the 4th grade... what would your door say?

thee tater face

Ginou Choueiri is Lebanese artist living in Beirut.

She says about her potato portraits:

"I chose the potato to portray human faces because of the many striking parallels. Not only is their skin porous like ours, but their skin texture and color is very similar, and like us, they come in different sizes, shapes and forms. Potatoes grow, live, and then decay, mirroring the ephemeral existence and fragility of our own human nature."
