A Video Tour of Patricia Piccinini Exhibit at Haunch of Venison
In her ongoing series of video tours, Julia Morton takes to the gallery shows that we may have missed but shouldn't. In this segment Morton visits the Patricia Piccinini exhibit, "Not As We Know It," at Haunch of Venison. The show is tackling issues of genetic modification as well as the "vile and the cute." As Morton states, Piccinini's piece are "so realistic they are often appalling at first glance." If you haven't visited the disturbing exhibit of human mutations and undulating "dominant & submissive" motorcycles, then take a look at the exhibit here.
The show continues through Oct. 31.
If nothing else this exhibit makes you think.
Science is a wonderful thing, but what about when "studies" and experiments go left?
