if you dont have 11mins to waste and then 5 more to contemplate after, do not watch this. i watched this video b/c spike jones, the director, directed the movie i most want to see ri now [where the wild things are.] this short film proves that kanye is not good "acting" as a drunk, he shoulda just tipped the bottle and took one for the home team to make it more real. aside from that this shit is just weird. if you go to the kanye blog and read comments all the posts are on his dick saying they loved it with no explanation why. why is this? cause these mofos aint prolly even get or try to intepret this video. if u go to a non kanye blog, the comments on this video say its garbage. my take on the whole thing...

he did this video cause he can, and who wouldn't do a video with the guy who directed "where the wild things are" if you had the chance?

the video itself seemed to be about celebrity and how everyone wants to be one, but their actual life isn't how it should seem. everyone deals with their own personal struggles and demons. i mean this guy is dealing with business deals that are high stress everyday, the loss of the single most important person in his life, his mom, the fact that he believes he is greater than anyone is enough to stress us all out, and the pure fact he is an ass and his spontaneity isnt always a good thing. either way this video spotlighted his acting which should never be spotlighted again. kanye must have forgot we seen him drunk before and yea he acts an ass and yea we love it, but this, this was not as convincing. i commend the effort, cause again, he now can say he worked with spike jonez, but if this is in at all anyway made so we can feel or understand your pain...fail.

My interpretation: Kanye is drunk because the constant war he fights with himself is taking its toll, he’s at his lowest point. This causes his weakness, which manifests itself as arrogance and the need for acceptance/approval, to be in full view, he’s pitiful. The need and desire to be liked ironically pushed everyone away and leads to his dismissal by those from whom he seeks love. The sex scene is him bearing his self to the people(fans) who are really indifferent and at the end of the day, there is only him and his weaknesses(his exposed privates:Jiggaeseue double meanings). He purges himself only to realize the source of his weakness, his old self, the weak mouse(I think those are paper hearts, not rose pedals, ie. 808’s and Heartbreaks.They represent his pain from loss of love he’s experienced.). Once he separates himself from his weak self, he is reborn as a strong, confident being with inescapable influence. He orders his old self to commit suicide, for which there is no heaven, no redemption, only hell. Old Kanye is dead, he’s getting his Jay-Z, Riahinna(sp) on.
