It was a bad weekend for the owners of a Brooklyn based Daycare center/drug stash house. First, a few guys tried to rob them and then the police finished off the job.
Investigators seized more than 10 pounds of marijuana and about $100,000 in cash on Saturday from the basement of a Brooklyn day care center that was the scene of a police shooting and an attempted robbery a day earlier, officials said.
Police Commissioner Raymond W. Kelly said the money and drugs appeared to have been what the robbers were after when they burst into Special Moments Daycare in East Flatbush on Friday afternoon — while a dozen or so children were napping.
Three men were arrested at the scene, including a suspect who was shot by the police.
No kids were hurt even though the robbery went down while their were lots of kids there. After arresting the criminals, the police came back with a warrant to search the daycare center. They had already been staking the spot out.
You know you aren't doing a good job of keeping thing under wraps when the police AND the stick up kids know exactly where you are stashing your drugs. That usually means it's time to move the spot.
