Seems like we all sleeping on whomever the hell J.Cole is. With him being the first artist signed to Jay-Z’s Roc Nation. Every day last week, he continuously dropped a dope track, all leading up to Monday’s release of The Warm Up.

J.Cole brings a sound that could be even smoother than his competition’s. He exercises a throwback flow that doesn’t try to be anything its not, along with a choice ear for beats.

“Show Me Something” is a track that didn’t make the cut but is simply a taste of what the tape offers.

The song is smooth and J.Cole doesn’t play around with the lyrics giving us deep emotional, inspirational, insight into his grind. His multiple talents are impressive, but what might be the most striking is that he also gets down on his own production. If this track is what didn’t make the cut, take my advice and give The Warm Up a listen. It doesn’t disappoint.
