most of the reviews are mixed on which one is better because they are so different, the only thing they have in common is the wii platform and their main objectives are exercise. the active is just that, much more active and will get your heart rate up for a better overall workout, the wii fit is harder to keep ya heart rate up cause it takes you back out to the main menu after every exercise. bottom line...if you're looking for a light, fun workout like yoga or a step class...wii fit is for you. if you're looking for a more rigorous workout that'll actually make you sweat...grab the wii active.
